Amy began making things when she discovered sticks and mud as a toddler, and has been creating ever since – though, it must be admitted, the mess factor has decreased considerably over the decades. Ah well, you can’t have everything.
She will happily try whatever she perceives as creative, and work with almost any material, from sculpting leftover mashed potatoes (a long time ago, and not a huge success) to silver smithing. Her current favorites are: knitting, painting, photography, drawing, playing with clay (high mess factor – hurrah!), sewing, digital art, silk dyeing, and cooking (also high mess factor the way she does it.) And, of course, writing. One must try to work with the brain as well as the hands.
